This Spicy Chipotle-Lime Hummus is a zesty twist on classic hummus, featuring the smoky heat of chipotle peppers balanced with tangy lime juice. Its creamy, flavorful, and perfect for dipping or spreading.
Ingredients:
- 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 3 tablespoons tahini
- 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, seeded
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2-4 tablespoons water, as needed
- Optional toppings: chopped cilantro, sliced jalapeos, drizzle of olive oil
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lime juice, olive oil, chipotle peppers, garlic, cumin, paprika, and salt
Process until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed
If the hummus is too thick, add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached
Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary
Transfer to a serving bowl
